TANKER EXPLOSION CLAIMS LIVES IN ENUGU

 A tragic tanker explosion occurred yesterday along the Ugwu Onyeama section of the Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, claiming 18 lives and leaving several others injured. The incident happened around 11:30 am when a fuel-laden tanker lost control, overturned, and burst into flames. The fire quickly spread to nearby vehicles, exacerbating the devastation ¹. Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and directed immediate action to provide medical care to su hirvivors. He also announced measures to prevent future occurrences, including enforcing anti-spill locks on tankers and repairing damaged sections of the federal road ¹. Imagine source, Facebook  Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also expressed his sorrow over the tragedy, describing the frequent tanker explosions as a national emergency and calling on the government to establish an inquiry into the issue.
